Biography
St. Clare was born in Assisi and, inspired by the path of St. Francis, chose a life of poverty, prayer, and fraternity. She left family securities to follow Christ with freedom.
She founded the community of the Poor Ladies, later known as the Poor Clares. Her fidelity shows the contemplative strength of a hidden life centered on the Eucharist and trust in God.
Clare inspires us to simplify life, cultivate silent prayer, and seek interior freedom from possessions, status, and comparisons.
